Listed below are the most common errors you may experience while logging into the game client during Alpha testing. If your error isn't on this list, or any of the suggested fixes don't work, please check the Ashes of Creation Discord for emerging issues.

“Realms are currently down. If you have Alpha Two access, please click here for testing information"
- The current test Phase of Alpha Two testing is only available 5 days per week with routine maintenance.
- If you are getting this error during this time frame, please check for realm status in the Alpha Two News section of the Ashes of Creation Discord.
- Check your Account Inventory to make sure that you have an Alpha Two item.

"Unable to authenticate to Intrepid Cloud Services. Please try again after a few moments."
- This error occurs when your connection to the login servers is interrupted.
- Please ensure that your internet is working properly and if you have any antivirus or security software, that software is configured to allow the Launcher access to the internet
- The login process uses the Edge, which is built in to Windows. If you have uninstalled Edge or used any 3rd party software to remove Windows features, you will need to fix those issues before you will be able to sign in.
- This error occurs when your connection to the login servers is interrupted.

"Launcher already running but unable to switch to it."
- This error occurs when the Launcher does not close out properly
- You can check Task Manager > Details for IntrepidStudiosLauncher.exe, select it in the list and click End Task
- You can also reboot your PC to ensure that everything is closed out, then try again
- This error occurs when the Launcher does not close out properly

“Error occurred while patching. To resolve the issue, please use the Intrepid Studios Launcher to reinstall.”
- There was an error during the Launcher update process. Click on the Reinstall button in the Launcher to remove the existing game files and download the game again.

"Error occurred while patching. Please try again after a few moments."
- The Launcher was not able to update your game files. Please close out the Launcher, wait a few minutes, and restart the Launcher to try again.

"Error occurred while connecting. Please try again after a few moments."
- The Launcher was not able to connect to the authentication server. Please close the Launcher, wait a few minutes, and restart the Launcher to try again.

“There is an issue with your launcher files. Please reinstall the Intrepid Studios Launcher to resolve the issue.”
- Some of your game files are corrupt. You will need to use Windows Add/Remove programs to uninstall the Intrepid Studios Launcher. After you have finished uninstalling, reinstall the Launcher and sign in again

Game Security Violation 34
- This is an error with Easy Anti-Cheat
- Reinstall the EAC software
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\Intrepid Studios\AshesOfCreation\PROD\EasyAntiCheat (or wherever you have the game installed), double-click on Install.bat to install EAC manually.

Couldn't start the game - Error Code: 3004
Couldn't start the game - Error Code: 3005
- These errors are related Easy Anti Cheat. If you did not install EAC or received an error installing EAC while installing the Launcher, you will need to uninstall and reinstall to ensure the necessary file are installed correctly.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\IntrepiStudios\AshesOfCreation\PROD\EasyAntiCheat (or wherever you have the game installed), double-click on Install.bat, and see if that lets you install EAC manually.

"Player Permission Problem Code 14"
- This error is generally caused when trying to create a character when you already have too many on the account. During Alpha Two the maximum number of characters on an account is 10. If you do not have 10 characters across all realms you can open a up a support ticket and we can investigate your situation.

"Bad Game Version Code 21"
- Your game client is out of date. Pres ESC to exit completely out of the game, Log Out of the Launcher, and sign back in to ensure that the patching process completes successfully.

"Service Connection Timeout. Code 31, 32, 33, or 34"
"Connection To the Realm timed out"- These errors are all time out errors. They can be caused by a poor connection between your computer and our servers. This can also be caused by slow response from your computer.
- Be sure to have Ashes of Creation installed on a Solid State drive and have a good stable connection.

"Error. Code 538"
"No Realms Available"- The realms are not current online. Please check for realm status in Alpha Two News section of the Ashes of Creation Discord.

"Failed to Retrieve Character List. Exiting"
- Your connection timed out before the game client could load in to the lobby, please ensure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements
- If you are are able to load in to the world with another character, there is an issue with the realm loading your character, please check Discord for emerging issues
- The realm or server worker that you are trying to connect to has crashed. Please check for realm status in Alpha Two News section of the Ashes of Creation Discord.
